Walt Anderson, Micah Riegner, and the crew of the riverboat Dorinha are back from their voyage of discovery in June 2017 in the heart of the Amazon! This trip was a naturalist’s dream, with incredible diversity of birds, primates, fishes, butterflies, and tropical plants. We saw dolphins (there are two species here) nearly every day, as well as many species of parrots, raptors, hummingbirds, trogons, kingfishers, toucans, woodpeckers, woodcreepers, antbirds (mind-boggling diversity), flycatchers (equally boggling), colorful tanagers, and a lot more. This is the best remaining tropical rainforest in the world, and it is something you need to see to believe. We are setting up a similar trip in June 2018 and will post the itinerary when we have details worked out. In the meantime, here is the flyer from this year. Please contact Walt if you need further information.
